As an independent external expert, the level of my involvement can be very flexible, ranging from:

initial setup and scoping advice
educating and advising senior management and/or project teams on how to implement and analyse risk techniques in their context
ad hoc risk workshops or a series of workshops throughout a project which can increase the awareness and effects of implicit assumptions, touch points, analytical techniques, etc.
on-going project support – I become a temporary member of the in-house project team, leading the running of live risk techniques for decision support
